Courtney & Erica

This engagement photoshoot was so special. Courtney and Erica got married in 2020 and due to the pandemic they never had a chance to do proper engagement photos because of the pandemic - so we did them at sunset at North Ave Beach in 2021 instead! They also couldn’t have a dance floor at their reception so we did their first dance together - Radio by Sylvan Esso. They are such an incredibly genuine couple, and the views at North Avenue Beach that evening were unbeatable.

Their story:

Before they met, Courtney was living in Chicago, Erica in Texas. Erica came to Chicago to visit a mutual friend, and ended up going out with a group that included this woman she could not take her eyes off of - Courtney. She chatted up Courtney for a bit, but had to leave for Texas the next day so she left.

Through their mutual friend, Erica got Courtney’s contact info and they started talking from afar. A few months later, Erica made another trip to Chicago - this time to see Courtney. A few months after that, they moved in together. Flash forward 5 years, and they tied the knot at a lovely intimate wedding at their church in Chicago.
